In the deep deep snow,
Footprints come and footprints go,
Show me where I’ve been.
Christmas lights, glow on,
Keep January festive,
Bring mid winter joy.
Step out in the cold –
if today is daunting
I’ve at least done this.
Gold pink clouds alit
with the oily opalescence
of an oyster shell.
