In the St. Louis Airport waiting for our connection. We’ve had a lovely family and fun filled ten days.

That picture of the Rockies from above is stunning. And I really, really, really want to see Redwoods before I die.
Also, the emergency room? On vacation?? Just, no…Gah. At least she looks moderately happy/content?!

It was a good trip. And even the emergency room wasn’t terrible once I knew she was going to be okay.

I am horrible at trip recaps (looking at you, Amsterdam 2023)! I need to take a page from your book and just write them, even if it’s way after the fact!

That is such a wonderful area of the country to visit. I had a friend that lived in Oakland and I visited her several times. She’s super into trail running so she knew all the best places to hike. Now she quit her job and will be traveling around the US/Canada and probably internationally so I don’t have an easy home base. But I’d love to take my kids out there when they are a bit older. Maybe in 3 years.
It is beautiful there! Whenever I’m there, I understand why my brother has lived there for almost 30 years now and would not dream of moving anywhere else.

She was very fine. There was a scary amount of blood, but it was probably worse than it looked!
